Security Manager and Health and Safety Officer with experience in the public, private and diplomatic sectors. Formed in Police Sciences by ACIPOL in 2004; played roles as a police officer and deputy police station Commander in Maputo Province. In 2005 integrated to the Matola City Police station investigation brigade where he was responsible to lead and coordinate the crime investigation processes within the police station. In 2006, he was transferred to perform functions at the General Command of the Police at the Home Affairs Ministry where he began to carry out tasks of planning, implementation and monitoring of crime prevention strategies of throughout the national territory. In 2010 decided to embrace the private sector, having played the roles of Regional Security Consultant and later of Security Supervisor at Barclays Bank of Mozambique SA. At the Diplomatic sector, played the role of Security Manager at the UK Embassy in Maputo, where he was responsible for the security of the Embassy, the British Council and British Agency for International Development in Mozambique. I was also the Health and Safety responsible person at the Embassy having participated in Health and Safety trainings in Zimbabwe and RSA. At the Embassy i e was responsible for the training of employees, implementation of procedures for Health and Safety, achieving audits compliance within the mission and residences of expatriates, as well as the promotion of courses such as First Aid, fire fight for employees and implement fire drills across the Embassy. Security Manager focused on security liaison with local authorities, Police, security provider companies. Provide security advise to staff and support management on decision making. Investigating, recording and reporting of security incidents and breaches. First response to a security incident. Completing Travel Risk Assessments for staff for travel across the country, including VIP visits. Updating security procedures. Ensure business continuity plans and other emergency drills are implemented and regularly reviewed. Oversight of a contract guard force established for residential accommodation security. Provide supervision, guidance and training on all aspects of physical security, e.g. mandatory security procedures, access control and CCTV.
