Director of the Office of Strategic and Institutional Development

  • In this role, my responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the strategic planning of the Municipality of Maputo;
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the implementation of the Municipal Development Plan;
  • Assessing and proposing improvement measures in the implementation of sectoral development plans of the Municipality;
  • Promoting and proposing the implementation of institutional reform initiatives;
  • Developing and coordinating change management plans resulting from the implementation of institutional reforms and macro management processes at the municipal level;
  • Advise the President of the Municipal Council and the Municipal Council on issues related to strategic and institutional development and the promotion of Good Municipal Governance;
  • Produce regular analyses on the evolution of the socio-economic situation and the level of satisfaction of the residents of Maputo;

  • Propose and coordinate the conduct of studies to improve the provision of municipal services and the performance of municipal bodies and services;
