  • Manage and mentor a team of 4 direct employees and 19 indirect employees responsible of delivery of technology services.
  • Manage all Technology Services which included but not limited to: Technology Infrastructure that supports IT and OT services, End User Computing, Technology Systems and Service Delivery.
  • Develop and Implement Technology Project Portfolio and roadmap both for IT and OT for the organization. This included implementation(scoping, procurement and execution) of critical infrastructure refresh projects(Network, Firewalls, Server, Storage, Backup, Enterprise Voice, Access Control, etc) of Capex budget up to $4 M and implementation of systems (MES System, Visual Performance Management, ERP Integration Upgrades, Tier 2 Historian Implementation, Document Management System, etc).
  • Manage Technology Service providers, ensure the services are provided in quality, time, within the agreed Service Level Agreements and that there is a good stakeholder relationship between the organization and the service provider. Represented the African Region on procurement of global service providers.
  • Plan and manage Technology budget while always seeking for opportunities for cost optimization and or savings through contract renegotiation, investigating and implementing cost effective solutions and eliminating waste. Achieved above 20% cost reduction through review and renegotiation of critical contracts, replacement of connectivity solution with one with better bandwidth, better redundancy and more cost effective.
  • Lead the design and implementation of the Africa Region Data strategy in collaboration with the Head of Data for the South32 group.
  • Drive the implementation of the digital transformation program inline with the organizational business plan and objectives. This program aimed the implementation of technology solutions that minimise costs, improve operational efficiency, end user experience and contribute to the reduction of health and safety incidents within the operation.
  • Manage Technology Risks risks(including cyber security risk) to ensure availability of critical production systems. Reduced Risk Rating by implementing strategic proactive and reactive controls. Drive the implementation of IT and OT Cyber Security Improvement program.
  • Provide direction and support to the organization in how technology can support the operation to overcome business challenges, specifically during COVID19 and Civil Unrest, I played a key role on ensuring that with the use of technology the operation could continue by providing technology solutions for pre-screening tailored for the Mozambican reality, solutions for remote work, communication and entertainment.
