Mr. Emerson has more than 10 years of experience working on Monitoring & Evaluation (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning or Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) and Collaboration, Learning and Adapting (CLA) in International Development and Community Development, with extensive field work all over Mozambique, with experience working in projects / programs funded by USAID, PEPFAR, FCDO, EU, Swiss Foundation, Diakonia and others. He has worked in various sectors including Livelihoods, Social Development (adolescents and young girls' empowerment), Humanitarian Assistance (managed 7 programs while supporting IDAI cyclone affected people), Conflict and Economic Growth programs (P/CVE - preventing countering violent extremism) and local governance strengthening. Mr. Emerson has contributed for Evidence-Based Decision Making and adaptive management, as is a strong M&E / MEL / MEAL professional that follows strictly organization´s / company´s Standard Operations Procedures that guide M&E activities. Mr. Emerson is also a member of the Mozambican Monitoring and Evaluation Association, a recent association that aims to be the arm of the Government of Mozambique for leveraging evidence-based decision making. He is currently working on a forefront of USAID programming in Mozambique, as the CLA Specialist of a USAID Local Governance Strengthening (LOGOS) and has recently ended an OTI Mozambique Community Resilience Program, the first P/CVE (preventing and countering violent extremism) in Cabo Delgado, leading the MEL team and being part of the Senior Management Team during the initial period. He has excellent leadership, development of M&E plans and tools, project management skills, and is looking for a next management position where he can keep building locally driven capacity among communities and local governments, as well as keep challenging himself and contributing for a longlasting change and success.
