Collaboration project between the Catholic University of Mozambique, through the Faculty of Tourism Management and Information Technologies and the Oikos Italy Institute, with the aim of creating a professional tourism course lasting one year for young people in the city of Pemba who was unable to pursue higher education. I carried out the following activities:

  • Develop the course curriculum plan, together with the department,
  • Hire teachers and form partnerships for professional internships,
  • Prepares annual reports on the activities carried out,
  • Attract students through a marketing plan,
  • Organize and plan timetables, tests, assignments and exams.

As a result, many of our students, 40% got post-internship jobs in hotels we had a partnership with.

I worked with public and private sector institutions, with the following responsibilities:

  • Promoting FMP products using the strategy of visiting small businesses close to our branch and 10 km from it, through the process of “getting the word out” (entrepreneurs, workers in the private and public sectors), makes people know that FMP is present on site for a noble cause;
  • Using the Spreadsheet that helps us analyze the customer's willingness and ability to pay in order to find the appropriate loan amount for the appropriate business and loan security;
  • Investigate the candidate's past commercial history and revalidate the business through credit investigation;
  • Use “Loan Performer” to perform the following actions: register new customers, enter loan requests and make credit portfolio reports;
  • Actively participate in loan approval committees (in particular my candidates);
  • Take immediate action in the event of late payments and understand the reason for the problems; It is,
  • I disburse my clients and explain to them the terms of the contract, including the legal actions that the FMP takes as a rule. I disbursed around 20 loans monthly and was responsible for monitoring them.

As a result of my development, there has been an increase in the number of people applying for loans. I participated in the new strategy design of the FMP, which later became The First MicroBank SA.,
