I worked as Project Manager for CRESCE, a Care Microcredit Project funded by DFID – Department for International Development, from United Kingdom (UK), with head Office in Beira at the time. I was responsible for a project which was running at the time 4 micro-lending branches - Chimoio, Quelimane, Mocuba, and Beira.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Project Manager

a) Provide leadership for smooth running of project operations

b) Support the improvement and development of the existing Management Information System, ensuring appropriate information tracking system and timely reporting to Care and Donor- DFID, UK.

c) Participation in the elaboration of the project information report, including preparation and analysis of the log frame – setting up the benchmarks and schedule for attainment of KPI – key performance indicators as set out by the donor.

d) Ensure the best use of financial resources and identify alternative funding.

e) Maintain institutional link with other development players and Donors.

f) Design and implement internal control procedures.

g) Ensure the implementation of segregation of duties within the organization.

h) Ensure the implementation of Financial Manual, meeting the internal audit recommendations and required changes for each process.

i) Oversee the smooth functioning of the whole project in the 4 different locations.
